These animated movie posters are based on three films that were directed by Tarsem Singh
Immortals is a 2011 epic fantasy film that is based on greek mythology, and tells the story of Theseus, a mortal who is destined to save the world using the the Empirus bow after the Titans are released from imprisonment by King Hyperion. The Empirus bow is an enchanted “weapon of immense power,” and was forged by the gods during the war against the Titans. In the animation, the bow is shown being drawn, and an enchanted arrow appearing and being shot out of frame. While it seems that the animation is simply looping, the animation is repeating to emphasize the bow’s enchanted ability to have unlimited arrows.
The Cell is a 2000 sci-fi horror film that follows a child psychologist that uses advanced neurological technology to go into the mind of a comatose serial killer in order to find where he’s keeping his latest victim. The spinning cube seen in the animation is used in the film as the killer’s subconscious representation of the cell where he keeps his victims. In the animation, cast members of the film are shown on each side of the cube as it rotates.
The Fall is a 2006 adventure fantasy film that takes place in a hospital where a young girl develops an interest in a movie stuntman when he inspires her imagination and begins telling her a creative story. As the stuntman’s story unfolds, the film moves into the mind of the young girl, where the stuntman’s tale is brought to life, and the audience experiences the tale through the girl’s imagination. The animation shows a red mask with blue butterflies, which is representative of the important characters in the stuntman’s tale.
